Description
Roughly translated, An Gorta Mor means 'The Great Hunger', referring to the Irish Potatoe Famine of 1847. This small park with its celtic cross in Kingston commemorates the deaths of about 1500 Irish fleeing the famine only to succumb to the typhus they carried from their homeland.
