Description
Tug Hill in northern New York State is a cuesta, formed of sloping sedimentary rock rising gently from the west to form an east-facing escarpment in places close to 2000 feet in elevation. Several spectacular waterfalls drop off the escarpment into the Black RIver valley, which runs north-south between the edge of Tug Hill anf the Adirondack mountains.
